Francesco Tomassi

Francesco Tomassi was born in Viterbo and studied in Pisa where he graduated in civil engineering in 1959. He graduated in architecture in Florence in 1972. He lives and works in Livorno in his studio at 35 Via Borra.
He has been painting for twenty years.
Principal exhibitions: 1998 Livorno, Palazzo Arbib; 1999 Viareggio, exhibition salon in the Principe di Piemonte Hotel; 2000, Barcelona, Sala Noble della Scola Industrial; 2001 Brescia, Lumezzana Church
His most important architectural works include: in Pisa, the Palazzo Congressi, the Economics and Business Faculty, the Physics Faculty, the Scuola Normale Library in Piazza dei Cavalieri, restoration of the main office of the Sant'Anna High School, the new offices of the Italian Automobile Club, the new Cisanello Hospital and the Research Cittadella in Pontedera; in Viareggio, the Fish Market and the Carnival Cittadella; in Livorno, extensions to the Misericordia Cemetery and the most representative buildings in the Amerigo Vespucci Tuscany harbour centre.
He is a member of a number of international juries and has published his architectural projects in Italy and abroad.
